enhanced by a long finish for five years in a very active first fill Pedro Ximenez barrel. The result is particularly intense and expressive， A particularly fruity Speyside malt， as expected， like deeply infused black tea. It almost feels like a liqueur. The tannic note returns in full strength towards the end， and the initial winey and tannic attack is soon replaced by sweet fruitiness: black cherries， ripe papayas， and a noticeable but not intrusive oaky presence. At the palate we find overripe oranges， and a touch of chestnut honey. There is a herbal note。
