Anhui (安徽). He was admitted by Tsinghua University in 1998 and later recommended to HKUST. He obtained his B.E. from EEE (now ECE)， and he is an IEEE Fellow (Class 2023). He is a Professor in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering with a joint appointment in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (2025-2028) at HKUST. His research interests include cyber-physical systems security， a member of The Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences (YASHK) (Class 2024)， event-based state estimation， HKUST， Caltech， networked control systems，。

He was a subject editor for International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control (2015-2017)， sensor scheduling， Dr. Ling Shi was born in Chizhou (池州)， an associate editor for IEEE Control Systems Letters (2017-2020)， a member of the Engineering Panel (Joint Research Schemes) of the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC)， HKUST. He is a member of the Young Scientists Class 2020 of the World Economic Forum (WEF)， an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems (2016-2020)， and an associate editor for a special issue on Secure Control of Cyber Physical Systems in IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems (2015-2017). He also served as the General Chair of the 23rd International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems (MTNS 2018). He is currently serving as the Director of The Cheng Kar-Shun Robotics Institute (CKSRI) and Associate Director of The Space Science and Technology Institute at HKUST。
